ROMWE WISHLIST

If you've been a follower of this blog, then you know that I'm always wearing something that comes from an online brand named Romwe. I've had a loyal relationship with Romwe for a couple of years now and every time I visit their website, I notice that the clothes get better and better. Trust me, if I could purchase everything I would (I really would...) . They have the trendiest pieces at extremely affordable prices and they are ALWAYS posting new items. They recently contacted me and asked me if I could curate a wishlist, which I was more than excited to do. Here are some of my recent favorites!

DOWNTOWN EXPLORIN'.

The older I get, the more I realize that it is extremely essential to spend more time with myself. To be able to be surrounded by my own thoughts, do my own thing, and go my own path is a gift in itself. Usually I spend my days off from work in bed, eating a bowl of ice cream and watching The Office all day, but today I wanted to get out today since the weather was so nice (70 degrees in December...global warming much?)

I decided to go downtown and shoot some photos, move outside of my comfort zone of just shooting on campus. I took in the weather, took some photos, and ended my day eating at my favorite Mexican food spot, Torreros.

I love playing with shades of pink, by the way <3

GIRLS WHO LOVE PINK.

So, obviously, it's been years since I've updated (not literally, but it's been forever). School does this thing sometimes where it takes over my life to the point where I'm so drained at the end of the day and the last thing on my mind is blogging and I can truthfully say that I've missed it. So much has happened since my last update (which was, uh, in August -__-), but majority of it has been positive things. I interned in New York for Tracy Reese during Fashion Week (which I must add was the greatest experience of my life) and I've been trying to master the art of sewing (which I must admit that I am very bad at but I honestly take off my hat to all of the fashion designers out there because if I prick my finger with one more needle, I swear I'm going to scream!)

But guess what? School is out for Winter Break and I am totally dedicating myself to updating at least three times a week if not more AND I am setting a goal for myself right now to continue blogging even when school starts back up because I miss it so much. I miss the positive feedback, reading other blogs, collaborating with online shops, and reviewing products. So with all of that said, here's my first post back. I've wanted to start playing with the color pink a lot lately.

LOVE BELOW.

Usually I'm a fan of long hair and not so much short, but I am falling in love slowly but surely with my blunt, cut hair. It's so timeless and gives a classic look. I'm fawning!

SK8 HI.

Summer school is finally over (thank God because I didn't think I could take it any longer) and I'm finally back home for some relaxation for a week (yes, I know...only a week, but at least I can be lazy for this one week!)

My style lately has been a reflection of how laid back my attitude has become towards life. I used to be someone who stressed endlessly over things I couldn't control (like really, stressing over bees in the spring? I can't control that!) , but now I've been really easy going, just sailing through life with good vibes. Here's today's outfit:

1. Crop Top - Forever 21
2. Jeans - Forever 21
3. Shoes - Vans
4. Jacket - Romwe

Also, some great news! I have been accepted as an intern for New York Fashion Week for designer Tracy Reese! I'm so excited to be visiting New York again next month.

PRETTY IN PINK.

More on more as the days pass, I am starting to transition into wearing more street wear clothing and brands, but still adding girly touches here and there. I bought this Adidas dress at the official store in New York City right when they were having a 50% off sale. I immediately fell in love with this dress because it's so girly, yet casual and laid back.

NEW YORK.

Here I am, back with another overdue update (sorry for the lateness, I sincerely apologize), but I have some wonderful photos and moments to share with you from my recent trip to New York City! I can't even explain how excited I was to visit for the first time, seeing that I always dreamed about visiting New York ever since I was a child -- it was literally a dream come true. I ventured to the Big Apple with a couple of friends and we decided to stay in New Jersey to save money and just commute back and forth the to the city.

Upon arriving in Jersey and seeing the New York skyline, I instantly became emotional and couldn't believe I was finally near the one place that always invaded my dreams and thoughts. The weather was perfect just about all five days that we were there (except for some slight rain, but I didn't mind it at all), and we visited just about every part of New York during our stay, from Manhattan to Soho to Harlem and beyond. Being from a small town, the fast paced movement kind of threw me off, but I quickly adjusted and had the time of my life. New York is truly how it seems in the movies.

Here's a few photos from the trip, from what I wore to where I visited:

(In Chelsea, New York, right down the street from the Fashion Institute of Techonology. Wearing Charlotte Russe wedges, 'Adventure Time' dress, and Romwe leather jacket)

(Walking through Times Square)

(Waiting for the Path train from Jersey to the city. Wearing two piece outfit from Choies and heels from Shoe Dazzle)

(In front of Stussy store in Soho, NY. Wearing thrifted baseball jersey, leather shorts from Knee Deep Denim, thrifted crop top, and Nike Dunks)

(Somewhere in Union Square wearing a Romwe leather jacket, skirt from Nasty Gal, thrifted boots, and crop top from Forever 21)

(Photo Op in Chinatown wearing a crop top from Forever 21, knitted leggings from Forever 21, Sk8 Hi Vans from Zumiez, and an Obey hat)

(Sixth Ave and West 32nd street sign)

If everything works out for me, I will be transferring schools in January to FIT and moving on to live my life in New York, Also, I will hopefully be visiting New York again in September to volunteer for Fashion Week! Wish me luck!

GRUNGE IT UP.

So summer school is back in session, meaning a lighter work load and more time to enjoy friends, myself, and fashion. Usually, the summer is my peak time when it comes to updating my blog and I've only been on delay because of problems with my computer being able to read the card for my camera. Now that I've fixed that error, I bring to you some photos I snapped from this past weekend.

EARTH ANGEL.

I've been working a lot lately on my self photography and working with different styles. Since I am the creator of most of my style photos, I thought it would be best to improve my skills and learn how to become better at the art of photography. Check out my improved photo quality in the photos below, also along with some denim on denim styling.

KEEP IT TRILL.

If you haven't heard about KYC Vintage by now, trust me, you're missing out. It's a vintage, deadstock website that has the latest street gear, ranging from nostalgic Tommy Hilfiger items to $5 bucket hats. Below, I'm wearing their reversible 'Trill' jersey that can also be seen in my 'Adidas x Nike' post. The jersey only cost me $7 and the prices on their website are amazing. Be cautious though, things sell out rather quickly over there. You can check them out at http://kycvintage.bigcartel.com
