LE KIMONO.

I am excited to announce this collaboration that I have done with Chelsea Vonchaz over at http://vonchaz.storenvy.com . The items on her website are absolutely beautiful and they definitely give off this positive, festival style vibe. I was sent this kimono and crochet shirt to display to you all and I loved pairing it with these shorts and these heels. The mix of blue, green, and orange looked good against my skin tone. Head on over to her site and check out the awesome items she has!

LACE & LEATHER

I always love to find gems in my parent's closet! The gem I stumbled across this time was a leather jacket that my mother didn't even remember that she had and boy was it a beauty! It was a little over sized for me, but over sized things are always wonderful in my opinion. Pairing the jacket with this lace shirt and lime green clutch really brought my outfit to life. Tell me what you think.

1. Lace Shirt - Rue 21
2. High Waist Shorts - Forever 21
3. Leather Jacket - Mom's
4. Spiked Heels - Karmaloop
5. Lime Green Clutch - Charlotte Russe

Also, I'm excited to share with you guys that I am the cover girl for the August issue of a women's magazine here in my city of North Carolina. I will be on stands in over 100 different locations and this is definitely a stepping stone towards my fashionable future!

A DAY LATE.

I was a little late for dressing for Independence Day, seeing that this outfit literally came the day after. I've never been too big on dressing for holidays and in the end, I loved putting all of this red together. Red is a bold color, but looks so good against the skin.

LONG JOHN CROP TOP

Lately, I've been working more and more on creating things, checking out DIY tutorials, and sketching my own ideas. I am an Apparel Design major at my university and now that I'm venturing towards my late two years, it's time to start creating my own things. I found an old long john top in my closet and decided to quickly construct it into a simple, sleeveless crop top. I'm going to soon take the remaining pieces, such as the sleeves and collar, and turn it into a matching high waist skirt.

1. Crop Top - Hand Made
2. Dress turned skirt - H&M
3. Sandals - Shoedazzle
4. Vintage Baltimore Baseball Jersey - Dad's Closet
